Just a short one today to get the thoughts down. So I’m a bit of an introvert, and spend many moments in deep pondering and often come back to the same questions…Why do I do what I do? Why do I run a yoga studio? Why do I teach, listen, hold space, and sometimes skip across the playground like no one’s watching? Because it’s my Dharma — my soul’s calling. And my Dharma is simple: to empower people.
Whether you’re eight or eighty, I want your time with me — your time in my energy — to leave you feeling better. Richer. Not in coins and jewels, but in joy, laughter, and those little sparks of self-belief. Maybe we share a moment of laughter that shakes loose the tension you didn’t even realize you were carrying. Maybe you walk away from a class feeling like your body, mind, and spirit are working together instead of fighting for the spotlight. Or maybe you finally feel heard. Truly, fully heard. Or maybe you feel a little less wacky because I give you full permission to show all your multidimensional marvellousness!
That’s what I want.
I don’t do it for the applause or the “perfect” outcome. I do it because we all deserve to feel supported, uplifted, and empowered. I believe that creating space — whether it’s on a yoga mat, in a conversation, or through the sound of my voice guiding you in a meditation — can be transformative. It’s about feeling seen. It’s about knowing you are not alone.
And yes, it’s also about the hugs. The real ones, the lingering ones, the ones that remind you that you’re safe, held, and part of something greater. It’s why I skip across the playground with my kids, letting joy lead the way saying hi to everyone and seeing their response of smiles, laughter and even do I know her?. It’s why I say “yes” to things that stretch me, challenge me, and occasionally make me wonder if I’m a little bit bonkers. Because if I give myself permission to be bold, to be vulnerable, to get it wrong and I do A LOT to be unapologetically me, then maybe — just maybe — you’ll give yourself that same permission too.
That’s why I’m stepping into offering Reiki teacher training and yoga teacher trainings, not alone, but alongside other powerful creators who share this vision. It’s why I’m putting meditations online — not perfectly polished, but authentic and raw. Because somewhere, someone might need that moment of peace. Someone might need a reminder that they have the power to regulate their own nervous system, to find calm in the chaos.
I want to give people toolkits — not as an afterthought, but as a priority. We all deserve access to practices that nourish our well-being. And whether it’s through a class, a conversation, or simply a knowing glance that says, “I see you,” I hope to remind you that you are capable, resilient, and wonderfully human.
So, if we cross paths — on the mat, in the studio, at school pickup, or even online — I hope our connection leaves you with a little more lightness, a little more laughter, and a lot more belief in yourself.
Because that’s my Dharma. And I’m so grateful I get to live it and I couldn’t if it wasn’t for you!! But here’s your question….
Do you know what your Dharma is? What lights you up? What you are here to do? Your souls purpose?
Have a ponder write down some words make sure it makes you smile!
With love and a whole lot of joy,
and Always empowering Energy
