I bloody love taking luscious moments just for me, Little gifts i’m so grateful for a body to move, a voice to speak my truth, eyes to see the beauty in this world slowing down to take a look around and last night, I had one of those yummy moments—the kind where you’re on your mat, breath moving like waves, your body free, your mind lit up like a firefly jar. It hit me: everything we need is already within us. Breathwork, movement, stillness—these are our free, built-in tools. They’re not about looking good, they’re about feeling good.
And yet, here we are, in a “wellness” world that’s turned into a bloody filter. Yoga, meditation, self-care—it’s all been packaged, sold, and tied up in a shiny bow that promises life-changing results if you just buy the right leggings or light the right candle. Squeeze in practices between your busy life styles, Spoiler alert: it’s all nonsense, If your breathing you can do yoga!!
Let me say this loud and clear: you don’t have to be Good to do yoga, what is being good at yoga anyway, being good at anything is actually just some opinion from someone anyway! You don’t have to look serene in your matching set, balancing on one hand like a Cirque du Soleil prodigy while the morning light streams through your spotless windows. Honestly, half the time, my yoga practice is just me lying on my mat, shouting, crying, dancing or wondering what’s for dinner.
But guess what it still works. Not because I look like an advert for “mindfulness,” but because I’m showing up for myself, as I am. That’s the magic. I’m taking a delicious moment for MEEEEEE and god that feels so good to just check in.
Yoga—and by extension, life—isn’t about perfect poses or spiritual one-upmanship about Who can meditate the longest or float higher, It’s messy, raw, and deeply personal. Its luscious moments of internal privacy. But somewhere along the way, it got co-opted by this 3D world obsessed with money, status, and aesthetics. And if I’m being honest, it’s enough to make you want to roll your eyes so hard they hit the back of your skull, and not in a kundalini kriya way!
Do I have a wellness business that needs people to show up? Yes. Do I sometimes feel the pull to promise life-changing results in exchange for their attention? Of course. But here’s the truth: I’m not here to sell you salvation. You don’t need me—or anyone else—to save you. You’ve already got everything you need inside of you. I KNOW that sounds so ‘woke’ but I swear I’ve been saying that before it became hip!
Stop letting others tell you what’s best for you. Tune out the noise, the promises, the shiny solutions. If something feels heavy, find the thing that lights you up—whether it’s a class, a podcast, or lying on your floor listening to Fleetwood Mac.
Life doesn’t have to be a curated masterpiece. It’s messy and beautiful and all about the little sparks of joy that make the heavy stuff feel lighter. So, wear the fancy yoga gear if you love it. Do your practice naked if that’s your jam. Prioritize what makes you feel good and ditch the rest.
Because at the end of the day, it’s not about being pretty, perfect, or productive. It’s about living lusciously—from your heart, not your ego AND ENJOYING BEING YOU
Now go do something that makes you ridiculously happy you beautiful being you.
with Love and Empowering energy
